Jacob Mears
PRESIDENT
Jacob began working for Coastal Structures as an Assistant Superintendent during his summers home from Clemson, where he earned a degree in Construction Science Management. He then began working full time in 2012 as a Project Manager. In 2021 Jacob was named President of the Civil &Industrial Division. He is now focused on continuing to grow this division as he works to develop his team. He oversees the project management of the division’s projects, handles the business development, and the running of day to day operation.

Aaron Clossman
PROJECT MANAGER
Aaron Clossman joined the team in 2016 after attending The University of South Carolina. Starting in the field as an assistant superintendent and quickly moving up to superintendent, Aaron took on several projects in and around the Grand Strand before merging into the industrial sector of the company in 2018. Since then, Aaron has overseen the construction of many industrial projects to include deep foundations, tank farms, roads, and various other concrete related projects. In 2022, Aaron was promoted to Assistant Project Manager and has successfully completed all types of projects. Some of Aaron’s most recent projects are IP Georgetown – 40T Crane Grade Beam Improvements, DSM Roads Project, Chandler Hangar Slab, and Summerville Airport Paving. Aaron has since been promoted to Project Manager, while also occupying roles such as Layout Master and Part-time Mechanic. Aaron attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.

Brandon Hockenberry
ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
Brandon Hockenberry joined the team in 2014. Starting in the field as a laborer, moving into a foreman position after a year and a half, then into a superintendent position two and a half years later. Brandon has helped complete numerous projects throughout his 8 years with the company. His first job as a superintendent was a 13,000 sf OB/GYN up-fit, and his more recent jobs UPL clethodim/methoxy, Waccamaw Community Hospital labor and delivery up-fit, International Paper 40-ton rail repair, and Nanya #2 Fuel tank.
